Savannah Technical College Georgia Film Academy (GFA) class will be hosting a screening of the documentary Feed the Hungry: the Vision, the Outreach, the Community Changer on Friday, April 28th at 6pm at Savannah College Eckburg Auditorium. This is a formal affair.
The screening event will include a red carpet photo op and meet and greet from 6pm to 7pm. At 7pm the documentary will be shown and at 7:30pm a Q&A will occur with Carl Gilliard and the film’s producers and director. Feed the Hungry is a non-profit charity formed by Reverend and GA State Representative Carl Gilliard, his family and a host of volunteers and this documentary focuses on the challenges of building this organizations and hardships the Gilliard family endured to bring Feed the Hungry to the level is it is today. The documentary, which was brought to life by graduates of the GFA program, was directed by GFA graduate William Martin and produced by GFA graduate Kareem McMichael. Feed the Hungry is a non-profit charity. They seek to provide assistance to Savannah's homeless, working poor, and low income residents via free produce, free clothing, hot meals, and community involvement.
